What shipped the week of Oct 5
Every week we tell you what changed in ioZen, why we did it and what you get out of it. Each change says which plans get it.
What changes for you this week
Each case shows the credits it used. You build calculations from a menu without memorizing formulas, and an action now works with any connected app: you pick the app, say what should happen and review the plan before you touch a field. You can also create a contact from a case card.

See the credits for each case
- The problem
- Case details didn't show how many credits a case had cost.
- What we did
- Case details show charged credits, credits awaiting settlement, and AI turn counts, with costs attributed to AI conversation turns, WhatsApp bridge and Meta delivery fees, and integration tools. Earlier channel costs that cannot be attributed to a case are marked as incomplete. Open case totals refresh when workspace credit updates arrive, including after settlement. Compact case tabs keep every section accessible in the detail panel. Billing usage and recent operations count each settled conversation charge once. AI processing, from 0.5 credits per message. Conversation billing remains limited to selected workspaces during staged rollout.
- How it helps
- A case's details show its charged credits, the credits awaiting settlement and its AI turn counts.

Calculation examples are labeled in your language
- The problem
- Starter formulas in a Calculation block didn't say what they did, and their placeholder names weren't in your editor's language.
- What we did
- Starter formulas in a Calculation block now say what they do and show placeholder names in the language of the editor. In English that is end_date and first_name. In Spanish that is fecha_fin and nombre. Clicking an example fills the formula so you can replace those names with your own questions.
- How it helps
- Each example says what it does and uses placeholder names in your editor's language, and one click fills the formula.

One action can run several steps
- The problem
- An action couldn't use a record it had just created in a later step.
- What we did
- An action can now create a record and then use it in the next step. For example, create a contact and then create a deal only when a field matches, without creating the contact twice if the second step is retried.
- How it helps
- One action creates a record and uses it in the next step, and a retry doesn't create it twice.
- BETTER
Action setup starts from a plan
- The problem
- Adding an action didn't walk you through it one step at a time.
- What we did
- Adding an action now walks through one step at a time. Choose the app, say what should happen, review the plan in plain words, then edit the fields. Saving creates the action blocks, and you can send a test before you publish.
- How it helps
- You choose the app, say what should happen and review the plan in plain words before you edit any field.

Create a contact from a case card
- The problem
- You couldn't create a contact from a Process Board case and link it in the same step.
- What we did
- From a Process Board case, create a contact and link it in the same step. The search text fills the name, email, or phone.
- How it helps
- You create a contact from a case and link it in one step, with your search text filling the name, email or phone.
- BETTER
Build a calculation formula from a menu
- The problem
- You had to know the formula syntax to write a calculation.
- What we did
- A Calculation formula can be built from + without memorizing the syntax. The menu inserts a variable, a function, or an operator, and a function list shows the signature, meaning, and an example for each one. An empty formula offers examples from the Intake Bot's own questions.
- How it helps
- You build a formula from a menu that inserts variables, functions and operators, with an example for each function.
- BETTER
Action wizard works with any connected app
- The problem
- The action wizard didn't work with every enabled integration.
- What we did
- The action destination wizard now works with any enabled integration. You pick the action, choose the destination from the connected account when the app lists one, and map each parameter to an intake field, a value or template that combines answers, or AI. The wizard reads the fields from your account, so your own fields show next to the standard ones and the rest stay folded until you need them. When the chosen action cannot send your own fields, the wizard offers the action that can. Direct blocks send with no AI. Assisted blocks fill the rest in one model call per case.
- How it helps
- You set up an action for any enabled integration, pick the destination and map each parameter to an intake field, a value or AI.
- BETTER
Score-group totals are removed
- The problem
- Hidden number fields could total a score group.
- What we did
- Hidden number fields no longer total a score group. Use a Calculation block for formulas, lookups, and bands. Existing bots that still store the old calculation config drop those keys the next time they are saved.
- How it helps
- You use a Calculation block for formulas, lookups and bands.
- BETTER
AI steps in a calculation
- The problem
- A Calculation block couldn't include an AI step or a lookup fallback.
- What we did
- A Calculation block can include an AI step that writes one typed value, or a lookup fallback that runs only when no row matches. Each call uses credits once per answer. Formula, lookup, and band steps still run without a model.
- How it helps
- A calculation can write one typed value with an AI step, and formula, lookup and band steps still run without a model.
