What shipped the week of Sep 28
Every week we tell you what changed in ioZen, why we did it and what you get out of it. Each change says which plans get it.
What changes for you this week
Your Intake Bot now gives exact results from formulas, lookups and bands, with no AI at runtime, and you test each step before you publish. You can describe a routing rule in one sentence, and the design editor opens with the essentials: your logo, two colors and the look of the conversation. Marketing attribution moves to Business and Enterprise; Pro keeps webhooks and the API.

Marketing attribution is a Business feature
- The problem
- Marketing attribution, conversion blocks and ad platform delivery weren't limited to Business and Enterprise.
- What we did
- Marketing attribution, conversion blocks, and ad platform delivery are on Business and Enterprise. Pro keeps webhooks and API access.
- How it helps
- Marketing attribution, conversion blocks and ad platform delivery are on Business and Enterprise, and Pro keeps webhooks and API access.

Draft a calculation in plain language
- The problem
- You had to write the steps of a Calculation block on your own.
- What we did
- In a Calculation block, describe the result you need. ioZen proposes formula, lookup, and band steps, previews them on an example, and lets you accept each one. Accepted steps stay editable. Drafting uses AI credits. Filling the Intake Bot still runs the steps without AI.
- How it helps
- You describe the result, preview the proposed steps on an example and accept each one, and accepted steps stay editable.

Calculation blocks
- The problem
- An Intake Bot couldn't give exact, table-backed results without AI at runtime.
- What we did
- Add a Calculation block to an Intake Bot for exact, table-backed results without AI at runtime. Chain formula steps, a one-row lookup on any Record Type, and bands that label a value. Each step writes a variable you can use as {{name}} later in the flow and in the saved submission. Test every step with example values in the editor before you publish.
- How it helps
- Your Intake Bot gives exact results from formulas, lookups and bands without AI at runtime, and you test each step before you publish.

Create routing rules by hand or by describing them
- The problem
- The routing tab's New rule button wasn't always there, and you couldn't describe a rule in one sentence.
- What we did
- The routing tab now has one New rule button that is always there, even when you already have rules. Open it and either build the rule step by step or type one sentence, such as when the departure date is within 14 days, and let the assistant fill the form. The assistant only uses the fields of your Intake Bot and the boards you have. You see the real conditions, board, phase and priority, change anything, and save. Anything it could not turn into a condition is listed instead of being guessed. Rules you create, edit, switch on or off, or reorder now show up right away without reloading the page, and a rule with an empty condition can no longer be saved.
- How it helps
- You build a rule step by step or describe it in one sentence, check the real conditions, board, phase and priority, and save.
- BETTER
Match my website finds your logo almost every time
- The problem
- Brand Kit missed your logo on many sites, and a site with thin styling got a guessed color.
- What we did
- Brand Kit now finds your logo on far more sites. It reads SVG logos, logos drawn into the page, logos set in your stylesheet, and favicons, including the .ico kind. If your logo is a wide wordmark, it picks your square icon for the chat and keeps the wordmark for the header. Brand colors now come from your logo and favicon too, so a site with thin styling no longer gets a guessed color. The scan details now say when your color came from your logo.
- How it helps
- Brand Kit finds your logo more often, picks your square icon for the chat, and takes brand colors from your logo and favicon.
- BETTER
Consistent block handling in the Intake Bot editor
- The problem
- Handoff and conversion blocks didn't select or drag like the other blocks in the editor.
- What we did
- In the Intake Bot editor, every item in the question list selects, drags, and highlights the same way: questions, content, action, agent, handoff, and conversion blocks. Handoff and conversion blocks now support multi-select and drag like the rest. Each block type has its own color: handoff sky blue, conversion green, content teal, action orange, agent violet, and questions use the ioZen brand color. The side panel also works the same for every block: the same header, actions menu, delete confirmation, copyable variable name, and automatic saving. You can now type spaces in a custom conversion event name.
- How it helps
- Every block in the editor selects, drags and highlights the same way, has its own color, and opens the same side panel.
- BETTER
A simpler design editor
- The problem
- The design tab and Brand Kit put more options in front of you than your logo, two colors and the look of the conversation.
- What we did
- The Intake Bot design tab and Brand Kit now open with your logo, two colors, and how the conversation looks. Four typefaces sit in line, with See more for the rest. Header, progress, and background style live in one short More list, and your starting look handles the fine details. Your Brand Kit looks open from the same Change button as the catalog, with undo right in the confirmation. Upload an SVG logo and it just works, and if your logo would disappear into the page, a plate is picked for you.
- How it helps
- You open the design tab with your logo, two colors and the look of the conversation, and SVG logos work without extra steps.
- NEW
Conversion blocks
- The problem
- You couldn't mark a moment in an Intake Bot as a conversion.
- What we did
- Mark a moment in an Intake Bot as a conversion. The block records one canonical outcome when the visitor passes it, and ad platforms receive the matching event name.
- How it helps
- You mark a moment as a conversion, and ad platforms receive the matching event name when the visitor passes it.
- BETTER
Conversion picker shows what each platform receives
- The problem
- The conversion picker didn't show what each platform receives.
- What we did
- The conversion picker lists only the platforms you have connected, and the exact event, conversion action, or webhook name each one receives. Intake Bot blocks offer six outcomes. Order, rating, and review outcomes stay on Process Board phases. Qualified lead reaches Meta and TikTok as the custom event QualifiedLead. Custom sends the name you type.
- How it helps
- You see only your connected platforms and the exact event, conversion action or webhook name each one receives.
- BETTER
Range questions show their scale
- The problem
- Respondents could only drag the slider on a range question.
- What we did
- A range question lets respondents type the low and high values, not only drag the slider. If the scale is still unset, the editor says respondents will see 0 to 100 and asks you to set a minimum and a maximum.
- How it helps
- Respondents can type the low and high values, and the editor tells you when the scale is unset.
