Jay Moreno is a technical founder who's spent two decades building and scaling platforms across Latin America. A CTO who became a CEO. He can architect systems and close deals. He calls himself a "Business AI Engineer."
PATIOTuerca.com (2004): Founded Ecuador's leading automotive marketplace. Acquired by LatAm Autos, which went on to IPO on the Australian Securities Exchange, the first Ecuadorian startup to achieve this milestone.
Vive1.com (2010): Co-founded Ecuador's premier real estate platform. Acquired by Navent and rebranded as Plusvalia.com.
Evaluar.com (2013): Co-founded and served as CTO for a multi-country employee assessment platform operating in 16 countries, serving millions of users annually.
Taxo.co (2022): Co-founded a tax technology company. Achieved break-even; now Board Director.
The Vancouver Chapter
Jay moved from Ecuador to Vancouver, BC, starting fresh in a new country while building ioZen. Divorced, rebuilt. Moved countries, rebuilt. Left his last company, rebuilding. He knows how to start from zero.
